Royal Antwerp FC loses former player Jacob Ondrejka to Parma, but Belgian top clubs like Racing Genk and Club Brugge show interest in the Swedish winger. Last result: Antwerp 2-0 KVC Westerlo (2026-05-23).

What happened to Ondrejka?

Jacob Ondrejka was born on 2 September 2002 in Landskrona and has been considered one of the most talented wingers in Sweden for years.

The fast and technically strong winger received his training at Landskrona BoIS and then made a name for himself at IF Elfsborg.

In the summer of 2023, Royal Antwerp FC brought him to Belgium.

Why is Ondrejka interesting for Belgian clubs?

Under Mark van Bommel, Ondrejka regularly showed his qualities with his speed, dribbling ability and scoring ability from the flank.

Although he never became an undisputed starter, he showed enough potential to attract the attention of foreign clubs.

Parma paid around 6.8 million euros to take him away from Antwerp.

What are Ondrejka's plans?

According to various transfer sources, Racing Genk and Club Brugge have meanwhile gathered information about Ondrejka's situation.

Both clubs are looking for offensive reinforcement and of course still know the qualities of the Swede from his time at Antwerp.

The interest seems to be more exploratory than concrete for the time being. In transfer circles, it is suggested that the player may have been offered to several clubs, including Genk and Club Brugge. However, it seems unlikely that Parma would let him leave just like that. Ondrejka is still under contract with the Italian club for three years. | Club | Interest | | --- | --- | | Racing Genk | Exploratory | | Club Brugge | Exploratory | Last result: Antwerp 2-0 KVC Westerlo (2026-05-23).
