Antwerp Fans Cross Channel for Pre-Season Friendlies against Millwall and Leyton Orient

Next Sunday, Antwerp will kick off the new season against promoted SK Beveren at the Bosuil. In the final stretch before the competition starts, The Great Old will train twice in London. On Saturday, it will play in The Den against second-tier Millwall, which narrowly missed promotion to the Premier League in May. A day later, Antwerp will face third-tier Leyton Orient.

"After two seasons without European football, supporters have another chance to go abroad", explains Dominik Van Landeghem, chairman of supporters' federation FASC. "And now that the takeover is behind us, there is once again a positive atmosphere around the club. That's why many fans are eager to make the trip", says Van Landeghem.

Why is this important for Antwerp?

The supporters' federation FASC has organized a bus to bring the fans to London. "We are determined to relive those great times again", says François Nooytens, chairman of supporters' club Rood Wit Legioen.

What's next?

After the pre-season friendlies against Millwall and Leyton Orient, Antwerp will return to Belgium. The next match is on 13 February 2027 against Kortrijk at the Bosuil.
